Livery for Karthikeyan's Super GT car unveiled
The livery for Narain Karthikeyan’s first Super GT car has been revealed ahead of pre-season testing.
Karthikeyan is shifting to the world’s fastest GT racing series this season with Nakajima Honda, the team with which he has competed in Super Formula for the last two seasons.
As part of the switch, he will be driving a NSX-GT in Super GT’s top-tier GT500 category.
The Super GT-spec NSX has been built from the ground up as a racing car and has little to do with its roadcar sibling, except for a resembling body shell.
Nakajima Racing has traditionally run a primarily-white livery, complete with blue stripes, due to its deal with title sponsor Nakajima Racing.
However, with the Satoru-Nakajima led squad bringing in Modulo as its new chief backer for this season, it has adopted a brand new colour scheme.
The car will now sport a black-and-red livery, with white used as the tertiary colour.
Karthikeyan has already tested the car several times in the last few months, mostly recently in Malaysia during a tyre test.
The next opportunity for him to get behind the wheel of Nakajima’s NSX will come at the the first official pre-season test, which will be held in Okayama from April 13-14.
