X1 Racing League will offer gamers across India a rare opportunity to become professional race drivers with the launch of the X1 eSports League.

With this initiative, the X1 Racing League is replicating the same model that has been successfully implemented by several international racing series including Formula 1, WRC and NASCAR.

While the exact dates are yet to be announced, X1 eSports league will visit prominent colleges and shopping malls in eight different cities.

The registration will be open and free to anyone above the age of 15, regardless of gender and profession, on first come first serve basis.

50 individuals will be shortlisted from each of the eight cities based on their laptimes after seven days of intensive competition.

The five overall fastest participants will get a chance to become a part of a professional race team and test drive the X1 Racing League car.

They will also receive professional training and guidance from established GT racing drivers Armaan Ebrahim and Aditya Patel, who founded the series together last year.

“Esports is certainly getting bigger and bigger, and has become the goto hunting ground for young and aspiring race drivers,” Ebrahim said.

“We are seeing Formula 1 integrate Esports and there are certainly immense possibilities for this in our country too. There is a huge potential untapped in our country when it comes to esports racing or even real track racing.

“With the inception of our India centric esports competition, X1 Esports we are moving a step towards filling that void.”

Patel added: “We are delighted to announce our Esports competition as a part of X1. I believe it is the dream of every youngster to be professional race driver, all geared up in a high-speed racing car.”

“With the onset of X1 Esports in India we are no just aiming aim to give a recognition to the esports culture and e-racers/gamers, but we also try to bring out the best of the talents and train them to represent India in real racing on world level.”

The first season of the X1 Racing League, the sister venture to the X1 eSports League, will be begin in October 2019.
